TDM in clinical practice

Therapeutic Drug Monitoring enables continuous tracking of drug concentrations in a patient's blood, allowing dosage to be adjusted to keep levels within the therapeutic window.

This prevents both excessively high concentrations — which carry the risk of toxicity — and excessively low ones, which render the therapy ineffective.
